What should I expect during my photo session?
I’m a natural light photographer so I won’t come with a big set up, just my camera and a few lens options. After we get comfortable we will start taking photos, I can give you direction as needed but the most important thing for me is that we capture your personality and who you are.
What should I wear?
Neutral and complementary colors are always a great option or throw in a pop of color that fits your personality. Make sure that your clothing fits the scenery we will be in. Keep your kids comfortable and avoid any character or logos on clothing. I love to look at pinterest for colors and pattern ideas.
What are my location options?
Your location is completely up to you! I can travel to any location within 20 miles of Denver with no travel fee. You can rent a studio if you’d like (I have some recommendations around Denver), we can go to a park, shoot in your home, or head to the foothills of the mountains. The location options are endless and I’d recommend somewhere that feels natural to you.
What should I bring?
Anything that will help you or your kids feel more comfortable! If you want photos for a specific reason like your business, feel free to bring items that fit your purpose. If you want family photos, feel free to bring their favorite toy or stuffed animal, but make sure it’s one you’re okay with being in the photos. This is your time and your photos, so make sure you bring what makes you and your family happy. Also, if you have little ones sometimes it helps to bring a treat or dare I say bribe to keep them happy the whole time we are together.
My child is having a bad day, what do I do?
I have a flexible cancelation policy. If you let me know as soon as you make that decision, we can reschedule your shoot within 60 days. I completely understand if it’s a bad day and have no problem with rescheduling. At the end of the day I want you to be happy with the photos you receive and you know best if we will get those photos that day. Also, sometimes during the shoot it may feel as though we aren’t getting the shots. Trust me that I won’t stop until we get photos that look great and I will be honest if it’s not working out.
What time of day will our session be?
All outdoor nature sessions will be booked 2 hours from sunrise or sunset. If you need to book a time mid day we will come up with a location together that is in the shade or indoors. Home shoots are great during the afternoon. But nothing beats the light outdoors during golden hour.
When will we receive our images?
You can expect your edited images within 3 weeks after our session.
What is your cancelation policy?
It’s flexible. Please let me know within 48hrs of your session if you need to reschedule. All sessions require a deposit and that deposit will be applied to a future day. If you would like to cancel all together you would forfeit your deposit used to hold the date.
Can my pet come?
Absolutely! I love pets! If we’re shooting in a location that is not your home or in nature, please be sure to check with their pet policy before bringing them with you. If you need to adjust your location due to this reason, reach out and let me know as soon as possible.
Travel fees:
I will travel within 30 miles of 80128 for no additional fee. Any location further than that will incur a travel fee based upon distance. If you’d like a location outside of Littleton/Denver please contact me about pricing.
